No. You do not need to create an account in order to place an order. 

You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been processed. This should be immediate (please check your Spam and Junk folders). If you haven’t received your email, please email us at

All orders are final. We operate a print on demand service, meaning as soon as you place an order it immediately goes into production and will be custom made for you.  

We are unable to cancel or change orders so please be sure of your size, colour, design and shipping address before confirming.

  • Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colours. 
  • Use non-chlorine bleach and only when necessary. 
  • Don’t use fabric softeners.
  • Tumble dry low, but the garment will last longer if you hang dry it. 
  • Cool iron inside-out if necessary. 
  • Do not iron the printed area.
  • Do not dry clean.

Returns and Refunds

Unfortunately we do not offer returns, refunds or exchanges unless you have received an incorrect or faulty order, in which case we will of course refund. Please check in with the size guide available in the product description to make sure you’re ordering the correct size.

Why we don’t offer refunds

Reason 1: We’d love for you to order three sizes of the same t-shirt and just send the two back that don’t fit. That’s how it works nowadays with the likes of Amazon and other big companies. But, we’re not those. Our shop works on a ‘Print on Demand’ basis, which means every order you make is made just for you. So, if you were to return it, we’d foot the bill every time. 

Reason 2: We don’t have a home address and are currently riding round the world. So even if we could accept returns, they’d have nowhere to be returned to, checked, stored or resold.

We’re sorry if your product has arrived damaged or is not what you ordered. We’ll sort this out for you.

To help us resolve this quickly, please email us at within one week and include photos of the damaged product, your order number and any other details you may have about your order. We’ll get back to you with a resolution as soon as possible.


We offer a flat rate shipping fee which is dependent on the destination. That means we’ll keep the shipping price the same and not charge any extra whether you buy two or ten items.

Usually, it takes 2–5 business days to make your order (each item is individually made as soon as you buy) and will be shipped immediately after it has been made.

The shipping time depends on your location, but can be estimated as follows:

● USA: 3–4 business days
● Europe: 6–8 business days
● Australia: 2–14 business days
● Japan: 4–8 business days
● International: 10–20 business days

Shipping times may be longer than usual due to delays in the supply chain, including distributors and shipping carriers as the entire industry is grappling with challenges. So it’s difficult to predict exact shipping times.

We work with an on-demand order fulfilment company with facilities worldwide and are happy to provide an international service. 

Please bear in mind that an additional customs and tax fee can occur on international orders. This fee is not in our control and is assessed by your local customs office. Customs policies vary widely for every country so please check with your local customs office directly to see if they apply duties and taxes to your purchases as you will be liable for them.

If your carrier has marked the package as delivered but you haven’t received it, then please reach out to your delivery service to see if any additional details were left by the delivery person. For example, they may have left the package in a safe place or with a neighbour.  

Please note, we don’t offer refunds due to carrier errors. 

Before getting in touch, please help us out by doing the following:

● Check your shipping confirmation email for any mistakes in the delivery address
● Ask your local post office if they have your package
● Stop by your neighbours just in case the courier left the package with them

If the shipping address was correct, and the package wasn’t left at the post office or at your neighbour’s, then please get in touch with us at with your order number.

For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date

If you found a mistake in your delivery address, we can send you a replacement order, but shipping will be at your own cost.

The same applies if the courier couldn’t deliver your parcel because the address you provided was insufficient or they were not able to find your address based on the information you provided. We’ll send a replacement, but shipping will be at your own cost.  

The same also applies if the package is unclaimed. You will be liable for the cost of a reshipment.


The Mad or Nomad Shop was created halfway through 2022. We’re not sponsored by any companies (so you won’t see a long list of thank yous after every post), we don’t ask for any funding for our round the world trip from companies or social media followers, we don’t flood our site with banner ads and we certainly don’t have a Patreon page either. 

But we have received a few messages over the years asking how people could help support our trip and site, and we felt that this might be a good way to do that while also offering some cool stuff in return. So, if you’d like to support the Mad or Nomad website (thank you!) or if you just fancy an awesome t-shirt, then this one’s for you!     


We work with a print-on-demand supplier. They have locations worldwide, so depending on where you are, your orders are printed and shipped from the facility that can do it most efficiently and closest to you.
